why is there no power going to the ac compressor in my 1997 ford expedition

Another thing to check if the fuse is good, is the clutch cycle switch, its only about $16-$20 to try before you spend megabucks at a a/c repair shop and its no harder than a spark plug to change. It looks like this: http://images.oreillyauto.com/parts/img/large/mot/yh592.jpg
