The fuel pump has nothing to do with the lack of spark.
did you change the cap at all there might be two different caps in the new box

I have the same problem on my 1998 eclipse rs i have changed the clutch, fuel pump, spark plugs and wires new battery should i change the relays before i change the crank shaft sensor
done distributor and spark plugs change still no spark cranks but doesnt start could it be the fuel pump?
