Recommended oil synthetic vs regular

Syn is all around better. If you have high mileage make sure to get high mileage syn.

each oil change the swelling of the seals depending on the brand and formula. I use Mobil 1 only not "high mileage" even though I have 113K on my eclispe. watch for main or other seal leakage before just switching to a high mileage as your mpg will be less than the standard oil. I also run 5 to 7K between oil changes to reduce the cost of synthetics - tried the 15k oil but my mpg dropped after 7K just like the normal so not worth the extra cost
