2001 galant electrical problem help!

hey guys, i was recently replacing my trunk light since it burned out. i popped off
the plastic covering the bulb and replaced the light but there was a spark, the
whole cars electrical components shut off. i disconnected the battery and realized
the dom lights dont turn on as well as the radio. the climate control works as well
as the headlights and tail lights but will only turn on when the car is started. while
starting the car there is a tick and its hard to start. can someone please help me!?

first bad ground at trunk light,like other poster,blown fuses,it could have also shorted the alt.

I'm experiencing similar problems. Mine has electrical problems such as: the lock clicker doesn't work anymore since a mechanic replaced my starter. Also, the interior lights will not work, the radio has to be re-coded every time the key is turned off. Electric locks only work when the engine is running.
