From what you say,if you hear a click from the stater relay, and connections are good at battery and starter, and battery is good all so,i know you have new starter, but i think it may be bad, have it checked .

Have you checked the starter solenoid. If the solenoid switch is failing the car may started part of the time and part of the time not. If everything else is in order and the solenoid fails no power gets from the battery to the starter. A low amp signal closes the solenoid and the high amp contacts send full battery power to the starter. If there is always a click when the ignition switch is turned fully then it's probably fine. A test light can be used to verify. Anyway my guess is the solenoid switch is failing.

You may want to look into the immobilizer/etacs unit. Depending on what year the vehicle is will determine what the cause will be. The last generation of Galants have them integrated together. So if it's older it's a good chance it's the immobilizer. That can cause intermittent starting issues. My wife's 2010 is experiencing some similar issues. Also make sure battery voltage is good. Even if it's a bit low like 12.2- 12.4 that can throw off the computer and make it not want to start

I'm having the same issue with my 2.4 liter 2009 Mitsubishi galant. We have replace the key fob, starter, and now it's still having start issues. It doesnt want to start half the time. We know the battery voltage is lower than it should be bc the new key fob couldn't be completely programmed bc the voltage wasnt right. I guess our next step will be the battery
