Radiator cooling fan not working

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My radiator fan wont turn on, on it's own. When I
turn the AC on both fans kick on. And work perfect,  
keep the car cool but if the AC is off the car no
radiator fan. I just replaced the fan control module,
and the coolant temp sensor was replaced about a
month ago. I'm not too sure where else to look on
this. I know the both fans operate, but radiator
cooling fan wont work on it's own. Any thoughts
would be much appreciated!

So I should return my fan controller and get a different one? Maybe the one I got was faulty?

I'm having the same problem right now in my 2001 Lancer. How did you solve it? I'm running out of ideas

It was the fan controller, the one that I had replaced was faulty. But I also went ahead and used fans from an 04 lancer and they worked a lot better as well
