Can you swap the motor from a 2002 2.4 4 cylinder  
Mitsubishi eclipse  into a 2000 Mitsubishi  eclipse  
3.0 6 cylinder gt

Not without major cost and major modifications. You'll need a new engine cradle, computer and complete wiring harness from the 3.0 liter vehicle, plus the transmission. Not cost effective at all
