Womp womp womp sound

Asked by GuruRB5LL Feb 06, 2020 at 08:06 PM about the 2019 Ford Explorer Sport AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2019 Ford explorer sport
with 3600 miles. When I pulled out
of the driveway today at about 20
miles per hour, I started getting a
womp womp womp sound. When
I lightly applied the brakes it got
stronger. Anybody have any idea
what it could be? I have had it
towed back to the dealership but
just thought I'd ask here as well.
Thank you

I once drove through a construction site and got a chunk of tar stuck on one of my tires. It made that same kind of sound. Hope that helps! Jim

Maybe it's from surface rust on the rotors? Once you brake a few times, the pads wear it off.

It ended up being WARPED ROTORS!!! How is that possible when it only has 3,600 miles on it?
