Car wont start turns over

I have a 05 Mitsubishi lancer with a 2.0 l in it she
was driving it crossed railroad tracks car died
came are not turning figured it was belt but when I
took cover off to see belt still on and in good shape  
crank turns but will not turn belt where do I start
now

Just a helpful hint....i had the exact same problem..the starter solenoid on the firewall was going bad..try to jump the posts with a screwdriver and see if the truck starts..if it does the relay is toast.the part is around 25.00 for aftermarket brand. Hope this helps someone.
