2002MINI S with growling noise from airconditioner condenser

Noise fluctuates with engine rpm.  Replaced compressor with no effect.  
Performance not affected it's just irratating

not an expert but i was just having a similar problem with my 03 lancer it turned out it was the pulley might be the same for you?

sounds like the cluth pack is worn out /// to much gap... there easy and inexpensive to change..... the conderser makes no noise
