Getting into a car

Asked by Lofthouse May 13, 2017 at 02:39 PM about the 2003 MINI Cooper Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a mini Cooper which someone has tried to force the
door  lock and broken. The battery is flat so I can't open it
using the fob. I've tried to  slide a wire through the window
and pull the door handle, doesn't work. Does anyone have
any ideas, other than smashing a window, of how to open a
door or the bonnet?

Unfortunately neither the back hatch or passenger door have locks. They are both controlled by the main lock on the drivers door

Call a locksmith. Or grab some locksmith tools like the foam wedges and then try to manually unlock that way
