My mini is now rattleing after surpinten belt broke.what can make this nouise

Possibly idler and/or tensioner pulleys. With engine running carefully use piece of pipe (3/4 pvc or hard vacuum cleaner hose works well) as a listening device. Hold with one end to your ear and ease the other end near each of your pullies. Should be able to easily identify which one is making the noise . Be careful. Hope this helps.

Sounds about right to me. The bearings in the pulleys go bad, especially if you waited for the belt to snap before noticing it.
