What year and model? Key or FOB? I have 09 JCW and having same issues with a FOB. The vehicle started prior to me taking out battery to do some maintenance, now it won;t start or even turn over. Control panel and radio work, just not starting. UURRRR.. Sorry no answer for you but when I do I'll let you know. First thing to look at is the battery and connections..

The computer needs to be reset, call the dealer and they will tell you the steps to take. Your owners manual should give you instructions as well. This answer is for you both. Good Luck

I'm having exactly same problem now with my December 09 JCW. Been towed to repairer twice, but starts ok when it get's there & apparently no fault codes. Battery tests ok. Car doesn't crank. Suspect immobiliser problems.?????
