adjusting drivers seat hight

Asked by clunk Dec 02, 2013 at 04:22 PM about the 2005 MINI Cooper Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need the seat about another inch or so higher than it adjusts to, is there any way that it
can be manually done or would it have to be a special request at original purchase

There is a little handle to the left side of the seat, it has an oval opening. Simply pull it up a few times and the seat will rise

I'm having the same problem with my seat, 2002 R53. Can't get it to go back down, tried everything except removing the seat.
