Is window etching done at the factory?

Does volvo etch windows at the factory?  Is it standard? or Is it a dealer add-
on?

It appears to be a dealer add-on. All of the sales breakdown sheets that different dealers have provided me show it as a cost after MSRP ($299), meaning dealer done. But be aware, while this isn't a straight up scam, it has fleeting value and minimal benefit.
