2019 Chevrolet Equinox

Asked by gsmcoins09 Nov 19, 2020 at 07:19 AM about the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox 1.5T LS AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My wife took me to the doctor yesterday but was not allowed in the building
so she sat outside in the car with the engine running and the heater on (it
was cold out) for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.  When I came out, I noticed a
puddle of water under the vehicle (not anti-freeze) and when I looked under
it was dripping from under the middle of the car, about where the rear seats
are.  My wife did mention that the car shut itself off after about 30 minutes
and she restarted it.  Anything to worry about?

Sounds like condensation from the exhaust system and perfectly normal. Especially in cold weather. The muffler has a small drain hole in the bottom of it for that reason. Hope that helps! Jim
