Subaru Impreza

Asked by Hunter9494 Jan 08, 2020 at 03:37 PM about the 2018 Subaru Impreza 2.0i Convenience Sedan AWD

Question type: Car Customization

I need a new muffler for my Subaru Impreza
premium 2018 sedan. Id like to get one that’s
not as big as the old one to produce a louder
sound. However, I do not want to go
obnoxiously loud or do any kind of muffler
delete. I am having trouble and can not find
any muffler that’s maybe half or even 3/4 the
size of the original muffler that will fit. I also
want to make sure the muffler is bolt on.

I am having trouble finding one because the
muffler intake is not a straight pipe but an
elbow. All the ones I see on the internet do not
have elbows.

Agreed. Bending an intake pipe to bot up to your aftermarket less-restrictive muffler is a piece of cake...if not cheap. Maybe you should just drill a few holes in the original in the meantime until you arrive at your preferred "sound"? I mean, really...this is a wimpy 2.0. It's like forcing stilettos on your grandmother, no?
