My has problems with shifting I'm wondering does
she have a hydraulic clutch?

Yes it does but if there's an issue with the with the hydraulic clutch, it would cause shifting problems AND brake issues because the clutch and brakes both are supplied by the master cylinder

Probably it does. Check under the hood for the clutch master cylinder. It will be next to the brake master cylinder.
