2002 Blazer LS 4WD air conditioning

Turned on the A/C today and got nothing. Looked under the hood when I got home and saw a vacuum hose sicking up about 6-8 inches higher than the battery, between the battery and radiator. Hose has that plastic cable wrap around it. Looked all around and can't find where it goes. Anyone know where it could go? Strong vacuum when I covered it with my finger.Thanks
