Rattling when I crank car

Asked by Mustang_lover89 Sep 18, 2016 at 08:30 PM about the 1998 Ford Mustang GT Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I've bought a brand new starter because my
original well served its purpose. However today I
went to crank my car and it sounded like rocks
rattling...I've replaced motor,radiator,spark plugs
and checked the oil. Why is it making that noise.

Check your rockers, listen real close to find the location and track it down, if the car is running bad, this may need to be done manually by turning the crank, and of course recheck that starter install.
