1998 Mustang intermittently does not crank.

Dashboard lights up, radio works, windows work, but NO SOUND at all.   Acts like it does not know clutch is in.  Replaced clutch sensor, still did it.  Can go for a week or two+ with no issue.  Then will not crank.  You can wait a some amount of time, then it starts.  Maybe 20 mins, maybe over an hour.

Clean and check all the battery cables and grounds, even the one at the starter.

Poor connection can pass enough current to operate radio and other devices, but not supply the heavy current that the starter requires. Not saying this is the problem, but saying this needs to be checked before proceeding.
