It is a 4 wheel drive how ever if it's an eddie bauer it should have leather and it should say so on the body some where or on the seats. You should have a switch to choose between 4wd or 2wd if not it is an awd

Not sure where my answer to this question is, but I did check out your VIN number and it states "Eddie Bauer/XL/XLT'' so I think that means that it could be either of these models. If it's an Eddie Bauer, it will be all the vehicle ... steering wheel center, seat head rests, outside body decal, and it will have tan exterior paint trim. The EB model has all the amenities.

My Eddie Bauer Edition 1998 Ford Explorer has two tone body color Blue with Gold trim and has leather seats that have the words Eddie Bauer stitched into the back rest. It also faetures a SOHC 4.0L V6 engine which is the standard for Eddie Bauer and Limited Models
