Blower Motor Debris/Noise

Asked by Jim Nov 07, 2019 at 12:21 PM about the 2018 Nissan Rogue SV AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2018 Rogue blower motor is making a racket which changes with motor
speed.  I think it is simply debris left by mice trying to make a nest.  Is there any
solution besides removing the blower motor?  Could I use a shop vac to suck it
out?  If not, what is the procedure for removing the blower motor and cleaning it
out?

Removing the blower motor is probably not difficult.

I have a magic rats nest and rat poop zapper, but it is currently rented out. You will need to remove the blower motor and clean it out. Make sure you wear an appropriate face mask as we would not want you to contract a case of hantavirous which could make you VERY dead.
