Hello! I am sorry to hear about the issues with your Protege' .I would like to ask some clarifying questions to help you more accurately diagnose the issues. Is the car equipped with a tachometer (RPMx1000)? If so, does this needed jump when the engine surges? Is the car a manual or automatic transmission?
