Battery indicator is on. Just replaced the alternator 2 days ago. battery is less than a year old. It looks as if the lights are dimming, and brightening at random.

Sounds like a loose or corroded ground. Check and clean the connections at the battery and where the battery negative cable goes. Did you have your old alternator tested or just buy a replacement?
