2007 Mustang outside door handle wont lock

Asked by John Dec 16, 2017 at 06:05 PM about the 2007 Ford Mustang V6 Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced the actuator thinking that is what it was but it didn’t fix it, it locks
and opens and closes perfectly fine, it just wont lock from the outside. The
drivers side door locks perfectly fine its just the passenger door.

Remove the door panel and see if the lock rod is still attached, most just have plastic clips keeping em attached to locking mechanism and handles.

I replaced the clip also and it still isn’t locking from the outside
