how do you know when to get a new motor?

my 2007 mustang has 189,471 miles on it when do I need to get a new motor for it?

When the engine uses excessive amounts of oil or the compression is too low. You will know when it is time. BTW - the Triton engines can go way over 200,000 miles. My 5.4 in my F150 has 191,000 and it runs like new and does not use oil.
