how to attach sleeve for cross treaded spark plug hole in 2oo3 mazda mpv

car was making terrible noise and missing. found spark plug and coil were missing in one of the cylinders in front of motor.  .now plug won't go into hole so need to install sleeve. I have sleeve and special tool to install it. do I have to drill before installing sleeve.. coil and plug were thrown out of cylinder and were found on ground..
