Rear end issues

Asked by Benjamin May 30, 2016 at 09:42 AM about the 1998 Ford Expedition 4 Dr XLT 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got a 1998 4WD Ford Expedition, there is a weird
clicking sound coming from rear end (already
changed wheel bearings, & brakes) and when I
stop the rear tires keep going like I'm still driving,
but only for a short period.  It's worse in 4WD.
ANYIDEAS?

Yes. Best way I know to describe it - it's as if I'm trying to smoke the tires but I'm at full stop on brake.

Will a 2000 Lincoln Navigator rear end fit in my 98 Ford Expedition 4 by 4
