You need to replace the module with a new one. If you do it yourself, be sure to disable the system before working on it.

Remove the airbag (SRS) fuse and wait 5 minutes for the system to discharge before working on it. The airbag system has a power reserve so that the airbags will still deploy even if the battery is disconnected or damaged in a collision. Also, when handling the new airbag module keep the back of the module facing your body and wear rubber gloves to prevent static discharge from your body that can deploy the airbag even if it's not connected to the vehicle! Hope that helps! Jim
