well did the belt go out why you were driving it? if it did you could have a Broken or bent valve, or Broken Piston

my car was running fine except for one morning wouldn't start so had starter checked and was bad replaced it and started was loud and sounded like timing was off so i decided to replace belt and water pump.I checked no broken or bent valve. I wasn't driving it .

noting bent or broke, then I would say (without checking) you might have the belt a little off did you bring it to tdc before you installed the belt ?
