Where is the crankcase breather filter located on a 1998 Ford Escort 2.0
SOHC?

If it even has one it will be in the air filter box. By this time they were locating the clean air tube above the air filter so it was getting filtered air via the cars air filter instead of have one of its own located below the air filter.

If it's like my 94 Escort was, remove the air filter and look at the bottom corners of the air cleaner box. There will be a spot for the breather filter which is a square piece of foam rubber looking thing. You'll see a hose hooked up to that corner, or a place for a hose to be hooked up. Hope that helps!
