How much will it cost to get fixed?

Asked by ninababes Aug 09, 2014 at 12:03 PM about the 1998 Lincoln Navigator 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ive been driving it everyday and it seems as though it has a hard time shifting. Well today
it died in the middle of the street. When the  tow guy came, he said that the transmission
was ran bone dry and it may have a leak. So will i have to buy a new transmission or can
they repair it?

That all depends on where it is leaking and how much damage was done by running it out of fluid. Possibly just need to fix leak and change fluid and filter. But can be much worse. They will have to investigate what's going on with it.
