No starter working at all? Do you hear clicks when trying to start it?

It is probably a bad starter solenoid. Get a new starter.

ALSO OBSERVED THAT THE LIGHTS ON THE HEATING AND COOLING BUTTONS WOULD BLINK YELLOW AND GREEN IN A SYSTMATIC ORDER

This is an old post, but in case someone has this problem again...…….I have that problem with my LS once in awhile and it's happened for years. ………..Try this: Turn the key on but not far enough to try to crank it. Wait at least 30 seconds and if that doesn't work wait again. Then turn the key to start it. It has worked everytime for me.
