What causes the carpet under the passenger seat of my 2002 Lincoln to stay wet all the time?

under the seat alone, or floor board where your feet are?under the dash? best way to determine location is to dry it completely, under the mat under the insulation, (mold will grow anyway so you have to), then apply cat litter or another liquid indicating substance, and apply a water hose to one door at a time, checking each time, if all is well after saturating ever bit of a closed door jam, then do the same to the sun roof, (commonly backs up or clogs), passenger seat is usually due to the sun roof, or rear door weather stripping, or window trim failure....
