when you push the heater button or A/C side of the same button, the light on the button lights up for a few seconds to a minute max and them shuts off an you have to wait for many minutes before you can try again. What should i look at to diagnos and repaire this problem. do I take off the seat and start there?

I am having the exact same issue. Just pulled the drivers seat out to replace the seat foam and seatbelt pretensioner. I was hoping that the new heater mat would resolve the issue but the problem persists. Also, the cooled seat function does not work. Passenger side works fine. I guess the next step is to try replacing the switch?

2003 lincoln navigator. i have a tapping noise coming from the rear end of the car it usually only happens when the car is in drive or reverse or taking tight turns at low speed and even sitting at idle at a stop light.
