Backfires

Asked by Dup May 19, 2016 at 01:28 PM about the 2000 Kia Sportage Base 4WD

Question type: General

New piston rings and bearings was
replaced,cilinder head was done,car starts but it  
backfires and dont want to ref up. Plugs and
coils was replaced,timing was set to its
mark,problem still exist. Plse help

Sounds like it might be a re-assembly problem causing the cylinders to fire out of order. Try shifting the timing to see if it changes - this is not a fix, just a way to help you determine what is wrong.
