2018 acceleration lag

Asked by Wootenss Oct 03, 2018 at 05:02 PM about the 2018 Toyota Camry XSE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a 2018 XSE two months ago. Very
disappointed with the way the gas pedal is
like “oh wait I just was pushed I need to go!”
Almost caused a couple accidents already
from not being able to go when I should. I
have had three Toyota camrys. My mother
has one my aunt had one. Never had an
issue with any of those. WTF Toyota?!?!

Well clearly I’m not the only one with this issue. Many people have posted about the same problem. Unless you go buy yourself a 2018 Camry to see for yourself keep your ignorant comments to yourself. Thank you.

clearly it's not an issue no more for me, it does it but now I am used to it, and it's just so fast acceleration but with little delay but the harder you press, the faster it gonna spin wheels

If you have a Camry 2018 SE to fix the lag in the throttle is to put it in the mode were you paddle shift and shift it to the 8th gear and then you can drive it without having to shift it with the paddles like you were driving it in Eco mode and the lag goes away much better response no lag at all
