Automatic sideview mirror opening and closing

just took my car to a car wash.  The attendant manually folded the side view
mirrors closed.  I can not get them to open and close automatically when
locking or unlocking my 2018 Volvo x60 car.

They're designed to manually be opened and closed as well, make sure its fully out and open and close with the button a few times. Note that you may hear a popping noise as it goes back in track, that will be normal
