where would trans fluid be leaking from on 1999 ford taurus

while driving 1.5 miles to work all the trans fluid leaked out. Filled up with 4 quarts of fluid
drove and didn't see it leaking. Where to begin?

could be coolant from the water pump. i had the same thing happen. and it was only $250.00 to have it fixed.
