'99 Ford Taurus still won't start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

What is the problem when my car won't start using jumper cables? I get all
the bells and whistles inside the car when I turn the ignition to the ON
position but when I turn the key to start it, I get nothing! Absolutely nothing!
No clicking, no slow engine turning sound, nothing! AAA came out and
tested the battery, alternator and starter....ALL GOOD! While he was testing
it, it started right up after a half hour of sitting. Go figure! Could it be a bad
sensor or a bad ignition coil or....what?

Will it crank in neutral rather than park? If so, check the transmission range sensor.
