My 2018 Corolla cruise control stopped wrking

I got in my car and the check engine light came on. As I
was driving I listened an heard no noise and checked the
gas cap. When I got on the highway I turned on CC an
nothing.

Hey BezGarcia82 - did you ever find out what the issue was?? My vehicle Is doing the same thing and I’m trying to determine the urgency of bringing it in or not. Thanks!
Even i faced same issue for 2018 corolla.Engine oil replacement light may be just reset engine light issue.Service center guy also says same thing, when i called/walked in. So to be on safer side, i checked my engine oil and it looks good indicating that was a false alarm. However, i still see the cruise control issue in my car.It accelerates ( only RPM increases not speeed) when down hill , for which reason is still not known.
I just got a2019 corona has the same problem crude control rpm go up 4000 rpm going down hill can then comes back down Also on the turn pike it does the same thing 2000 rpm engine revs up to 4000 rpm I have to brake to shut it down and I only have 400 miles on the car 2019 corona XLE

Just picked my Camry up from the dealer - apparently it’s a known issue that Toyota is working on and no resolution yet

I think the rpm is just a lag. I got the CC fixed it was just the sensor. Possibly from ice build up an what not. After replacing not a single issue. I learned to use the manual shift while descending to keep with CC

Cleared the check engine light fault codes (EVAP small leak) and the cruise control started working again. Unknown cause, but it seems like the computer was confused about something.
