Towing damage to an 04 Kia Sorento

I have an 04 Kia sorento LX 4X4 that had been
towed and now the transmission won't engage. I
know I'm going to have to replace the
transmission. Will this also damage the transfer
case ?

I would have the fluid changed as a min. Have the shop that is replacing the transmission inspect it for wear.
