oil light comes on and off and a clacking noise starts couldit be theoil pressure sensor

If you are seeing the oil light and hearing a rattling noise I would replace the oil pump and screen immediately. Don't drive it. Have it towed to a garage.

if oil light comes on or flickers at idle first thing check oil level if low fill it to proper level and change the oil asap if you hear a clicking probably a lifter due to low oil pressure if the noise goes away after oil change you were lucky
