There are many relays for the engine. Which one are you referring to? The engine relays and fuses will be in the fuse box under the hood.

Fuses and relays do the same thing. Fuses blow and that's that. There done and have to be replaced. Relays will reset themselves after they cool down. But that's not to say that a relay won't burn itself out.

my 2004 Amanti is blowing fuses as well. Engine will not start as a result. Also experience loss of power periodically. Power loss fixes itself after stopping and shutting down for a while. I cant give this excuse of a car away. Worthless and unreliable, two great qualities for a car to have !!!

If its blowing fuses you have a short to ground somewhere. Start tracing the wires from the fuse box to the parts that are causing the fuse to blow.

The engine relay is located under the center of the dash, behind the computer. Had to replace this relay and the computer was repaired. The fuses were blowing because the rear oxygen sensors were shorting out. I also had to replace the ATS relay. Car operates fine now.
