Cuts out more when shifting gears or letting off the gas

I had same issue with my 2005 KIA Sportage. It is most likely a $23.00 (retail) part located under the glove box. Under, not behind like filter. The part is called a resistor. I bought from an auto parts store and self installed. Works fine. Next time I'll pay a skinny guy $20.00 to install. The one in auto shop looked different and admittedly was not as strong as the original. Since I think the free-on may be low, I might just spring for a OEM replacement.
