Honda 2018 Odyssey, rear door won't latch

Asked by Alissa Apr 22, 2018 at 06:27 PM about the 2018 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I started my car there was an error that said "Anti theft was disabled due
to power loss to the car" and the passenger sliding was said to be open, even
though it appeared to be closed. The power sliding door won't work on the
passenger side, and if I manually close it it won't latch. The driver side is
working fine. Thanks!!!

Did you get this fixed? I am having the same issue with my 2018 Elite. Just 1k miles on it? Would take it to a dealer but on vacation. Thanks.

Ours is currently at the Honda Dealership fornthis very reason!! They ordered the part, got it to close, now they can’t get it to open!!! ‍♀️

When ours got to the dealership it magically worked again. They cannot create the issue again. Frustrating.

Same issue, door hesitates when closing and then reopens. From what we are being told this is an issue in the programming and Honda is working on a fix. Anyone else heard this?

My 2018 is there at the dealership right NOW! Both doors completely stopped working and wouldn’t close! Has anyone’s been fixed?

I too had an "Anti theft was disabled due to power loss to the car" message on my 2018 Odyssey. I never had door problems, but my tailgate became possessed. Opened and closed at will. I took it to the dealer. They replaced the control unit for the tailgate. The problem went away for a few weeks, but now its possessed again. Sometimes the tailgate opens on its own after the car is parked for 30 minutes. I will be returning to the dealer this week.
