Car Suspension Modification

Asked by Mduduzi Jan 14, 2021 at 12:00 PM about the 2018 Ford EcoSport Titanium

Question type: Car Customization

I want to lower my 2014 Ford EcoSport 1.5 TiVCT Ambiente
but can't get hold of EcoSport coilovers. Can I fit Ford
Fiesta coilovers? If not, which car share the same coilovers
as Ford Ecosport?

The EcoSport is not one of those vehicles that buyers will be slamming. One reason why you can't find aftermarket aftermarket coilovers. There is no demand. I couldn't find any information on compatibility or anyone else that had done a swap. Check with some Ford forums, namely the fiesta and ecosort forums.

You can also consider removing the springs and cutting a coil or two off of them and reinstalling.

If the parts are not listed for your car they won't work.

Ashley I'll do so. I've already compressed the original springs, they're too soft, I feel every hump with a bang sound. I won't recommend spring compression.

Sure bra, where are you which province, I'm assuming you in Mzansi ? Ive also been trying to get confirmation if the focus / fiesta coil-overs will fit. The Brazilians have been doing Air for some time now.

Ashley: Am in Mzansi Nelspruit, this month I wanna try sleeve over cause the compressed springs are so soft. I'll let u know the results

Sho Bhafo, I was just there the other day lol, Dam was my first time in Nelspruit. The Chicken Licken drive through is the bomb there, super hot fast fresh wings, Please becarful with sleeve overs many of my Honda buddies say its a very bad hard ride as the shocks bottom out. Not sure what our budget it like but consider shorter shocks to accommodate the sleeve overs or look into Air suspension. Let me know bro

EIsh, seems like the shocks or the rods might be very long and thus not lowering any further?

Ahhhh Bafo - Well done and thank you for this Car looks HOT bro . Well done man !!! What brand did you go with? and how much did you turn it down? Looks amazing bro

I used fiesta shocks and universal sleeve overs so to play with the height but the sleeve overs are not comfortable, I would suggest that u use fiesta coilovers if not air.
