Question type: General

Driving home in Ford Ranger, battery light
came on, truck choking, no reading on
battery gauge it was on lowest end, lights
on radio flashing, unhooked positive cable
and truck sound changed, was real smooth,
battery gauge went up to middle section,
radio lights no longer flashing.  When
reconnecting sound got weird again, radio

Thanks Jim . . I've just remember being told to do that to see if it would stall possibly then being alternator. Checked the connections again, cleaned up posts and found I had a bad ground connection. All seems to be running ok now. I read it also when I googled. Google saves this gal from expensive shop repairs.
