1991 jeep cherokee

My 1991 jeep cherokee is having idling problems if
I turn the key and pump the gas it will start and run
as long as I keep pumping the throttle but wont
idle it'll just die anybody have any ideas

Sounds like idle air control valve, less than a hundred bucks, easy swap on top of engine, try cleaning throttle body too while you have it off.
